How did Kriti Sanon become one of the most successful Indian actresses?

Kriti Sanon is a talented Indian actress and model, one of the most popular Bollywood stars. Moreover, she paved the way to fame and recognition by her own efforts. This is what has made Kriti a source of inspiration for many.

The beginning of a future star’s journey

The future actress was born on July 27, 1990 in New Delhi. Her father is an accountant and her mother is a professor of physics. Kriti attended a government school in Delhi and after that she did her Bachelor’s degree in Engineering at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida.

While still in education, she experienced a real passion for modelling and acting. This motivated her to start a career in the modelling industry. Kriti has worked with famous brands like Amul, Cadbury, Closeup, Honda and others. After achieving success in this field, she nevertheless did not give up her dream. And so, despite her young age, she left her hometown New Delhi and moved to Mumbai. With the goal of conquering Bollywood.

First steps into the world of filmmaking

In 2014, Kriti Sanon made her debut in the action film “1: Nenokkadine”, playing the role of the protagonist’s lover. Her acting skills and well-coordinated performance opposite famous actor Mahesh Babu received high praise from critics. The same year, the actress made her debut in Bollywood, in the film “Heropanti” along with Tiger Shroff. The film was a commercial success and was warmly received by both audiences and critics.

In 2015, Kriti Sanon participated in the filming of Rohit Shetty’s film “Dilwale”, where she played alongside such famous Bollywood actors as Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Boman Irani and Varun Dhawan. The film achieved significant success at the box office.

Kriti then starred in the film “Raabta” with Sushant Singh Rajput, but the film did not receive critical acclaim. However, in 2017, the actress returned to the screen as a charming girl from the provinces in the film “Bareilly Ki Barfi”, which generated much warmer reviews than her previous work.

The film that changed everything

A real breakthrough in Kriti Sanon’s career happened thanks to the film “Mimi”. This is one of the best movies in the filmography of the Indian actress, which brought her wide fame.

At the centre of the plot is a young girl from the province who dreams of becoming an actress in Bollywood. However, she lacks the money needed for a trip to Mumbai. In order to fulfil her dream, the heroine agrees to become a surrogate mother for a foreign couple. But in the end, the girl has to take care of the child on her own.
